I made a reply to a guy today with some problems....this is the wiring on the DX to Si conversion. Put it here in case anyone has problems.
--------------------------------------------
Make sure your harness connector at the distributor looks like this:
Put the tab's notch to the up position...turn it around and look form the backside....the below order is from top to bottom, and left to right looking at the distirbutor's backside.
1 2
3 4 5 6
7 8
1 White - Blue Stripe
2 Orange - Blue Stripe
3 Note Used
4 Orange Solid
5 White Solid
6 White Solid - Red ring painted on wire at connector (usually fades)
7 Blue - Yellow Stripe
8 Blue - Green stripe
The ECU compliments to these are:
1 White - Blue Stripe
......Top Dead Center (TDC): C4
2 Orange - Blue Stripe
......Top Dead Center (TDC): C3
3 Note Used
......None
4 Orange Solid
......Crank (CKP): B10
5 White Solid
......Crank (CKP): B12
6 White Solid - Red ring
......Igniter: B15
7 Blue - Yellow Stripe
......#1 Cylinder (CYL): C2
8 Blue - Green stripe
......#1 Cylinder (CYL): C1
The wiring modification Instructions for DX to Si are:
The ECU compliments to these are:
1 White - Blue Stripe
......(TDC): none required
2 Orange - Blue Stripe
......(TDC): none required
3 Note Used
......None
4 Orange Solid
......(CKP): relocate wire from C1 to B10
5 White Solid
......(CKP): relocate wire from C2 to B12
6 White Solid - Red ring
......Igniter: none required
7 Blue - Yellow Stripe
......#1 Cylinder (CYL): route new wire into C2 from the Pin 7 of Distributor
8 Blue - Green stripe
......#1 Cylinder (CYL): route new wire into C1 from the Pin 8 of Distributor
--------------------------------------------
common problems you will see are this:
White4 and White1, distributor connector pins 5 and 6 are reversed. Your car won't start. Will not turn-over, but will crank indefiantely. No spark from any plug wires when you use a spare plug and set it on the valve cover to watch for spark to ground out. No ECU Code.
Problem is these pins are swapped, the ECU never gets an ignition read and never starts....swap these wires and should work.
The Wire for the igniter comes from the factory as a white solid with a pinated red ring at the base of the connector...with time it crumbles off. There's no way to make sure other then to use a continuity tester and check before doing it and going forom the ECU otherwise checking pin position at the distributor to ensure everything is correct.
Car runs all messed up. Crank and CYL wires are backwards. One of wires are reversed between the two of these...or something to that extent. Check order.
Car will not run past 3,000 rpm. Check distributor igniter as they usually come down to this problem if they turn bad. I was told recently the D15B2 DX igniter is the same as the D16A6 Si distributor igniter. Try swapping out.
Car will not crank. Find the MPFI main relay underneath dash 6 inches above the hood release and a little forward mounted off the metal frame wall in the cabin. Smack it with a screwdriver or something. Turn on ignition...will wait one second, engine check light will go off, and then this relay should make a click. If not smack the piss out of it, and cycle ignition off and on again. This relay turns on your fuel injectors and fuel pump. I beleive the pump is the second click, but I can't remember at this moment...either way all 88-91 models of honda and 92-93 integra and accord suffer form this problem....excessive heat and moisture builds under the dash and binds up this relay. The easy solution is to let the relay hang down and zip tie it the some wiring at the accessory fuse panel. I've done this on both CRX's, and neither one has had a problem yet. I have owned 3 CRX's, 1 Civic, and 1 Prelude...alll but the DX Auto has given me problem with this relay. Just keep in mind. This happen after the car sits a while and especially between the hours of 12 to 3 pm in summer months.
I'll write more if I do the injection wiring for this swap on this board.

NC you say if the if the cyl and crank wires are reversed the car will run funny ??? what type of funny?
i just did my swap and got the car running but the car has issues such as:
No ECU code
runs rich like really rich
wont rev high or rev limit is set way low
BAD missing
i have put on all new
wires
plugs
cap
rotor
fuel filter
o2 sensor
tried diff ecu
nothing fixes the problem could this be a wiring issue??
help please chris

Some of the guys say this is an igniter problem...but I really don't know for certain.
You can try swapping one as it's not that hard.
I would get the manual and look into it.

now is the igniter the same as a coil?
so if i installed a sci ignition and coil would this fix the igniter issue?
also solved the rev limit issue
also tried a couple things and this is what happened:
switched the wires a 4/5 and car had now power but no longer missed
switch the wire the cyl(blue wires at ecu b10 b12?) wires and nothing chnged
so what else should i look at ??
thanks chris

your igniter is what gives you rpm...coil is what gives you juice - the amplifier - converts primary to secondary voltage for ignition.
I've never done the igniter swap and actually I beleive you need a manual because their are two components in the distributor with wiring, and I think the igniter is the metal one, and the coil is the black one. I'm not going to bother looking because I don't want to undertake this - you need to find someone that knows more about igniters and installing ignition setups as I haven't done this yet.
SCI ingnition install...wait till the distributor is working. Installing an ignition can complicate things. Work one step at a time.
Go over the wires and make sure you've got them right.
Are you saying that the Rev limit problem is fixed and so is the hesitation?

ok checked the wiring from the custom harness its all correct
car still misses but will ruv up
will rev to limiter now..not sure what fixed this though...kinda scarey?
what i ment about switching wires was the missing went away but i had no power wouldnt rev hard ..still have rich issue
well i also cheked the igniter and its good according to chiltons also checked coil good and tried the sci just for giggles ..no change
so ive decided to let a shop look at it a see what they say.
also rex where you from in ill, i just relocated to marrion / mt vernon area
ok thaanks

Marion's about 4.5 hours due south of 57. There's having a CRX meet in Chicago this weekend..not sure who's going, but stuff actually does happen around here. Maybe someday you can swing up here or if an event is going on we can meet up.
Hey on the hesitation, make sure your map is hooked up right. Also check timing and make sure the belt is on right. Taking it to a shop is a good idea. They see this stuff quicker then shit.
